lyrics
You can't take it with you, no heavens or friends to show your pride to, just the earth to return what is hers.
Though this may come off as a cynic's curse, can you not see the beauty in these words?
All we have is the now, cause there's no time like the present to present your love to those who seek it.
And present your mind to those who see through the weakness, a shared gift to dispel the bleakness.
Spoken about only in riddles and humor, I reflect on its reality as I stare in the mirror. Every minute spent in preparation for its arrival, just a manifestation of all our efforts at survival.
But I make no plans, my end won't justify my means, and I mean no harm by this. Other than that ignorance is bliss, which is how I choose to live.
Because from what I've seen, and what I've read, no one can ever be right. And I know I might not be right, but death will show his face regardless.
And I refuse to meet him hopeless, or full of hope that was never good enough for me.
So I'll choose to meet him fearless, or full of fear that I didn't live in peace.
