I see your point. These trees and these mountains hold not only history, but a beauty felt intrinsically, and resulting lasting memories.

Taken for granted through stubbornness, not to mention a lack of willingness to simply appreciate what I’m presented.

Free of the pressure to choose, relieved of this mental ruse.
Sunlight showers my face, eyes closed, not concerned with grace.
Just the air to breathe, and my mind to be left at peace.
The true way to enjoy any blessing is to not waste it second guessing.

Falling victim to my own circumvention, when will I abandon convention?
And stop seeking conviction, instead of making my own connection?
But I never take my own advice, always thinking twice about where my heart lies with a failure to compromise my demons and my vices.

I can’t deny that overwhelming sense I get when I look upon this earth. Trying to identify a cerebral chemical reaction, when I know I should just take action.

I declare the future mine to keep, and from now on I’ll sow with the intention to reap. My days are numbered, and though this number never meant much to me, it doesn't mean I want them wasted. This miracle I've been allowed to participate in will not be disregarded as simply as it began.
